Balam Air Terms and Conditions

Balam Air are offering cost effective and on time charter options from our home base of Yulara (Ayers Rock/Uluru).

All flight operations conducted under Ayers Rock Scenic Flights AOC #: 1-48Z09-05

Please note that a quote is based on suitable weather on the day of the flight and does not include diversions and/or delays caused by adverse weather. Any substantial diversions/delays will incur additional costs.

We request that all passengers arrive at least 30 mins before departure at our terminal to enable us to depart on time.

Payload Available figure given within the quote is indicative only. Actual Payload is weather and passengers/freight weight dependent, and at the discretion of the Pilot in Command.

We reserve the right to change and substitute aeroplane class, type and registration, as well as cross-hire aeroplane and flight crew without prior notice. We reserve the right to postpone, cancel or redirect the flight due to weather conditions, war, strikes, civil unrest, riots, sabotage, hijacking, terrorist attacks or any other factors over which we have no control or when the safety of passengers and/or flight crew can reasonably be assessed to be in danger, at the discretion of the Pilot in Command.

If you would like to accept our quote, please confirm early to avoid disappointment.

In the interests of safety and in accordance with aviation regulations, a suitable air-conditioned resting place must be provided to the pilot when ground waiting is required before the return journey(s). The requirements may vary depending on wait times and pilot flight and duty times to meet the requirements of the customer.

The first 2 hrs of the aircraft wait time are included in the price. Every hour after is charged at $60.00 per hour or $300.00 per day, over 5 hours waiting time, and $250.00 for overnight fee applies.

If a pilot and aircraft are required to stay overnight, the pilot must be provided with suitable accommodation and meals at the client’s expense for the night(s) away from Yulara. These can be arranged by us for a fee and will be an additional cost to the quoted travel.

Cancellation of a confirmed flight must be in writing.

In no event will Balam Air be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential costs borne by the client or its passengers as a result of any flight delays, cancellations or diversions.

Any additional or ancillary charges incurred in the course of carrying out a task will be invoiced on completion of the task and will be due in 7 days. Overdue payments will incur a late payment fee of 20% per annum, calculated and charged daily.

If after formal acceptance of a quote, a flight is canceled electively by a client in the absence of a weather issue or aircraft unserviceability, then the following cancellation fees will apply:

Cancellation with more than 48 hours notice prior to the first departure – 20% of the quoted price.

Cancellation with less than 48 hours but more than 24 hours notice prior to the first departure – 50% of the quoted price.

Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice prior to the first departure – 100% of the quoted price. If an aircraft unserviceability results in the cancellation, diversion or postponement of a flight, then:

Unless the client elects to postpone the flight, if the flight is cancelled prior to departure from the location where the first passengers or freight are picked up, the client will receive a 100% refund of moneys paid to Balam Air for that task. Balam Air will bear no liability for any other direct, indirect or consequential costs incurred by the client or its passengers as a result of this cancellation.

If the unserviceability prevents departure from the location where the first passengers or freight are to be uplifted, and the client elects to postpone the flight, then the quote will remain valid for a period of 90 days from the original date of departure and no further cost will be incurred by the client if they reschedule their flight within this 90 day period. If the flight has not proceeded within this 90 day period, the quote will expire and all moneys paid by the client will be completely refunded. Balam Air will bear no liability for any other direct, indirect or consequential costs incurred by the client or its passengers as a result of this postponement.

If the flight is diverted or postponed after departure from the location where the first passengers or freight are picked up, and the quoted task is then subsequently completed using the same aircraft, any additional direct costs (e.g. extra flight time, client accommodation) associated with this diversion or postponement will be borne by Balam Air. Balam Air will not be liable for any indirect or consequential costs incurred by the client or its passengers as a result of this diversion or postponement.

Good news! Balam Air flies worldwide. But do keep in mind that local taxes or duties in your country are on you. We’d love to cover everything, but we can’t take on these charges or take the blame for any hiccups during shipping.

We genuinely hope you love what you order. But if you have second thoughts, just ping us within 14 days of getting your item at info@balamair.com.au. Make sure you send it back just the way it came (with the receipt too!). If it’s not because of a fault in the item, sending it back is on you, and we can’t refund the shipping costs.

We’ve tried to capture our products in the best light on our website. But the real thing might have its unique flair. Also, all those numbers about size and weight? They’re close estimates.

First time with us? Occasionally, we sprinkle some special discounts for our newcomers on online purchases (excluding sale items). When we do, watch out for that welcome email after you sign up to our mailing list; it might just have a unique code for you!
